Georgia football entered its Oct. 1 game at Missouri as heavy favorites over the Tigers. However, Georgia could not get off to a strong start. The Bulldogs had field goals and a pair of turnovers in the first half.
Missouri made some good plays. Tigers quarterback Brady Cook broke out of the pocket and connected on multiple plays to give Missouri a chance to score.
Kirby Smart and company trailed 16-6 at halftime. Georgia added a couple more field goals in the third quarter, but Missouri made a few field goals as well. The Tigers took care of the football but began allowing Stetson Bennett and Georgia to set up the run.
Georgia scored touchdowns from Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton to take a 26-22 lead. The Bulldogs then struck out three and were out. Georgia’s offense came out strong with a strong rushing attack to give the Dawgs an SEC East Road win.
